Ever wondered how you might stay positive, focused and optimistic in spite of the situation you find yourself in?  Well, Andre Geel, a Chartered and Consultant Clinical Psychologist has some ideas that might be helpful.  Over the last 12 years he has been working with Carers – in Brent, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea, Islington, Shropshire and beyond – and has come up with a simple, yet elegant system of staying focused on the positive while being challenged by very difficult situations.

Using a combination of Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques he is able to help carers utilise their full potential and access their inner resources in their caring role.  Through a series of small groups, discussions, lectures and workshops, carers can learn these techniques to help them face and overcome the daily challenges they face in caring for the one they love.

The groups and workshops are fun, practical and challenging and teach a new way of thinking about old problems.  They are engaging and supportive and mentally very stimulating.

You will leave with a series of practical skills and techniques to carry forward from the workshop to help you to continue to cope with the challenges that face you outside.
