National Carers’ Conference in Eating Disorders

Professor Janet Treasure OBE and Gill Todd RMN, MSc, have produced an exciting programme of speakers who are delighted to share their views informed by research, knowledge and experience based around working and living with Eating Disorders. The day is aimed at all Carers of people with Eating Disorders.
The current speakers are:
Dr Hind Al-Khairulla and Dr Amy Harrison from Ellern Mede will discuss working in a CAMHS inpatient service.
Dr David Veale Consultant Psychiatrist will talk about working with sufferers of Obsessional Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders and Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
Dr Stephen Linacre speaking about his personal experience and his work with Carers.
Rob Turton and Sophie Missen will talk about their experiences in the SHARED Recovery Project
Jennifer Danby and Wendy Whitaker will share their experiences of working with families using Emotion-Focused therapy.
Joel Hawkins and Julie Cottrell – will present data for their Oxford Health ‘One Day Skills-based Workshop’
Rosie Tressler from Student Minds will speak about peer support.
Mckenzie Elexis Cerri will share her journey of recovery.
