The overall aim of the workshop is to practice interventions which will help to increase

the Sufferers self esteem.

• Family Carers of those with eating disorders who understand the collaborative skills – New Maudsley Method – regularly ask for communications skills practice.
• Gill Todd will take you through the OARS process – provide scenarios to work through in small groups and provide the opportunity for individuals to practice their skills and receive feedback from the group.
• The theory of Motivational Interviewing and its application in directing health behaviour change will be discussed, along with engagement, focusing, evoking and planning as it applies to “living with an eating disorder or any addictive illness”.
