“Two Days of Motivational Enhancement Therapy for Eating Disorders.”
Day One:
You will learn the Maintenance Model of Eating Disorders and the psychology of the health behaviour change model. We will discuss the latest ideas concerning the interactions between the eating disorder cognitive style and the environment and particularly the family environment. Also how Active Listening and responding using positive psychology methods can help people develop the courage to embark on change.
Day Two:
Will be a full day of role-play practising the specific communication skills needed to aid the change process. You will need to be prepared to discuss your own self-care methods and to share your personal struggles of living with an Eating Disorder.
